Today’s Thoughts
A very warm day, especially for this early in June.
I’ve been getting several videos from my brother. They are working on the
main bedroom. In the last week the crew has added two high round windows and
are now laying the ceramic tile on the floor. Each piece of ceramic tile has to
be cut to keep the pattern. The room is going to be a work of art.
Hunter’s trial is news because of his father. I really don’t need blow by
blow coverage. The only reason it is news is that his father is President.
President Biden is in France for the 80th celebration of
D-Day. An important day to remember and honor.
There were only 3 small forest fires near Flag yesterday. Hoping for the
best with the dry weather and heat wave today.
Indigenous People to Know
Joy Harjo
America's first Indigenous poet laureate, Joy Harjo wants her
writing to reflect the humanity of her people. Her work is guided by the need
for justice and the desire for respect experienced by the Indigenous community.
Harjo lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is a Muscogee (Creek) Nation member whose
grandfather endured the tragedies of the Trail of Tears. Harjo was an artist
and an activist growing up, and today, she elevates her people and honors the
spirits of her ancestors with every word.

Jump on the bandwagon
To "jump on the
