Today’s Thoughts

Cooling off a little today, a nice reprieve.

The heat wave across the Eastern US continues. Now there are major wildfires CA and NM. Our area has several small fires but nothing like other areas. I keep hoping that any damage or death will be minimal in those areas. Our community is moving to Stage 2 fire restrictions on Friday. Hoping that continues to help.

Our neighborhood is going through a transition. All units are 2 bedrooms and a den or 3 bedrooms. They are starter homes for many of the residents. Since late May there have been at least 5 new families with small children move in. I enjoy watching the young ones ride their bikes and push scooters as they play in the common area. They play a lot and are not very loud. Just kids having fun. Most are toddlers to eight or nine year olds…a great time in life. Many of the young parents are enjoying playing with their offspring.
