Today’s Thoughts
A warm day with a
nice breeze.
A few months ago, AZ
began using shipping containers to close the wall between the US and Mexico.
The Feds stopped this plan. Now those containers are being used in Phx to be
solar cooling stations for those who need them during the very hot summer days.
Sounds like a good use to me.
Happy to see Princess
Catherine back in the public eye while still receiving cancer treatment.
Happy Father’s Day.
We lost my dad @80 years old. He was a great father who took very good care of
our family. He is still missed.

Origin of common phrases
Close but no cigar
To come "close but no cigar" refers
to almost but not quite winning or succeeding. According to one theory, it
dates to the 1800s when country fairs would hand out cigars as prizes to game
winners. The phrase would be shouted out when a player came close to winning to
attract an audience.
