Today’s Thoughts
I woke up to an overcast sky. The sun
peeked out for a while, then the thunder started. Rain is due anytime..
Yesterday I did an oil change at the
dealership. I had a coupon for $10 off. The Nissan dealership and the Subaru
dealership are owned by the same guy. They now do all the oil changes at the Subaru
dealership. The two dealerships are side by side, so it was no big deal. I got there
about 2:20 for a 2:30 appointment. They did a great job, changed oil and
filter, rotated tires, and washed my vehicle. I was heading home at 3:05. As I
was driving out, I noticed that they had only partially removed the windshield
sticker you get for the next oil change. Then they slapped a new one over the
partial one. By the time I got home, I was triggered by their sloppiness. My phone
beeped about 10 minutes later that I had a text message. It was Nissan, asking
for a review of my latest service. I gave them 4 stars, mentioned the ugly sticker,
and posted a picture of the sloppiness. This morning the guy who sold me my vehicle
2 years ago texted me about the service. He said to bring the vehicle back to
the Subaru side and they would fix the sloppiness. I did that and the guy apologized
for my inconvenience. It was fixed with a new sticker in about 10 minutes. I told
him I needed to change my review. He showed me how to get to the reviews. I came
home, did a new review praising their good quick fix. About 10 minutes after
posting a great review, the guy who sold me the vehicle texted to be sure I was
really happy. That is great customer service…hardly ever seen in this day and
age.
Today’s first hard rain just started
with thunder and lightning. It’s going to be a good day.

American History…
Why did the pilgrims
come to America?
Incorrect: Religious freedom Correct:
Economic opportunity
Frankly, the
pilgrims had already found an element of religious freedom in Holland. While it
still remained a factor in their decision to set sail for the new world,
the main reason for their journey was to find better economic opportunities.
