Thoughts for the day

It’s another great day here in Flag. Gotta love Summer in the Pines.

It looks like everyone agrees that the Sept. debate will have muted mikes. Of course, Trump threw in some strange comments about ABC’s bias he perceives. Typical.

Andy and Faith are back in Flag for a medical appointment. Hope we get to do lunch in the short time they are here.

One hostage saved by Israel while he was in a tunnel. Good move.

 Riddles

What is full of holes but still holds water?

Random Thoughts…

Pocahontas is the only Disney princess with a tattoo.

The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France and we just left it outside like old lawn furniture.

The length of a minute depends on which side of the bathroom door you are on.

If you lose one shoe, you’ve really lost two shoes.

  • 1955 – 14-year-old Emmett Till was beaten and killed for a reputed flirtatious comment to a white girl, in Money, Mississippi.
  • 1963 – The March on Washington was attended by 250,000 people and where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. made his “I Have a Dream” speech.

Riddles Answer

Sponges are created by mixing cellulose and hemp fibers with sodium sulfate crystals. This combination creates the perfect hole and pore structure that can absorb any liquid — quite the opposite of what you think would happen if something with holes gets wet.
