Thoughts for the day

A nice summer day is a perfect time to walk around the neighborhood.

Upon return I did 2 loads of laundry.

I enjoy preseason NFL, because I get to watch the Broncos live. Broncos played well against the Cards. Decent football.

Trump may be changing his mind about silenced mics during the next debate.  Anything for headlines.

 Riddles

What has 13 hearts but no other organs?

Historic Events

  • 1776 – In what is now Brooklyn, New York, British forces under General William Howe defeated Americans under General George Washington in The Revolutionary War’s Battle of Long Island..
  • 1859 – Petroleum was discovered in Titusville, Pennsylvania leading to the world’s first commercially successful oil well.
  • 2003 – The initial six-party talks, involving South and North Korea, the United States, China, Japan and Russia, convene to find a peaceful resolution to the security concerns of the North Korean nuclear weapons program.

Riddles Answer

The standard 52-card deck has four suits, including hearts, of which there are 13. Spades, clubs, and diamonds aren't other organs, so there's your answer. So far, science has not yet discovered any octopodes or earthworms that fit the bill (although both do have a lot of hearts).
