Today’s Thoughts
A nice winter day
with a few puffy clouds.
I am a tad confused…All
the photos being released were take with film cameras and to be developed to
see them. [Remember this all took place before phone cameras that allow instant
publication on the internet.] Why would anyone allow some of the controversial photos
to even be taken? It seems to me that these rich guys had no concept of basic
human decency and didn’t care if such photos showed a crime. It looks to me
like many people need to be in jail. A crime is a crime and these men/women who
perpetrated the crime deserve to be punished by our legal system. The more I see
and read; it is getting obvious that Epstein Island was where the pedophilia
took place. Sad.
Trivia
Close but no cigar
To come "close but no
cigar" refers to almost but not quite winning or succeeding. According to
one theory, it dates to the 1800s when country fairs would hand out cigars as
prizes to game winners. The phrase would be shouted out when a player came
close to winning to attract an audience.
Whistle Dixie
To "whistle Dixie"
is to have unrealistic expectations. It comes from the U.S. Civil War-era song
"Dixie" and the failed hope of a Confederate victory.
