Today’s Thoughts
A much warmer winter day. All the snow from last week has melted. There a
lots of high wispy clouds but no moisture in the forecast.
I watched the State of the Union and the Dems reply. Trump used his hour
and 40 minutes to introduce almost nothing new. He spent his time turning his most
pointed comments to the Dems. He will never be called the unifier in chief. He
did honor several American heroes. His comments did not always align with the
facts. I’m sure his supporters were
impressed, but I doubt he picked up any new votes for the midterms. The Dems
response was good. Whenever the opposition party makes a speech after the SOTU,
it is difficult. I would give her a B- or C+.
I tried to call Ellie this morning to wish her a happy birthday. I still
appreciate her leadership with Focus Travel Club. The call went to voice mail
so I left a message and will try later if she doesn’t call back.
Historic Trivia
Random
Facts About Poop
Wombats,
furry little marsupials who live in Australia, are known to produce cube-shaped
poop. They excrete up to 100 little cubes per day and place them on rocks and
logs to mark their territory. The square shape is thought to have evolved so
the poo pellets don’t roll away.
Random Side Interests
When he wasn’t busy fighting wars and serving as the Emperor of France, Napoleon Bonaparte found the time to write a romance novel, called Clisson et Eugénie. Because why not?
