The sky is blue, a few clouds. The 3.5” of snow is melting slowly.
The HOA here is so difficult to understand. On my front door, behind a
screen door, I hang a small decorative door hanger that welcomes my guests.
During the winter for the past few years, it has been a smiling snowman’s head
with a top hat, and small blue snowflakes around the head. I got a note from
the owner that my cute snowman head does not meet community guidelines. We
guess they decided that it was a Christmas decoration. I did replace it with a ‘Welcome’
hanging…all the while just shaking my head in disbelief.
On Wednesday afternoon, the local school district announced that school
would be closed for a snow day on Thursday as more snow was expected Wednesday
evening. Around 9pm they changed and said the schools would be on a two-hour
delay start. I get that weather changes, but I do have great sympathy for the caregivers
of the children that attend school. It is not easy to find childcare here and
then to find it and have to cancel, it causes hardship for many.
Former Prince Andrew was arrested in the UK this morning for sharing
government business with Epstein. This is the first time since the 1700’s that
a living British Royal has been arrested. Will Andrew’s escapades be the final straw
for the British Royal family?
