Today’s Thoughts

Another blue-sky day. Nice!

An AZDPS helicopter with 2 on board crashed on the west side of town around 9pm last night. They were involved in an active shooter report. The perp was captured, but the crash killed both on board the helicopter. No word on what led to the crash.

I had a good lunch at Chili’s with Andy and Faith. Faith is going to be selling some of her crafts this Saturday at Flag High. I’ll be checking it out. Chili’s has good food and a nice environment. They just can’t handle their own gift cards. Andy got a gift card from Kayla for his birthday. This is the fourth time one of us has had a gift card. Every single time one of us used a card, the manager had to be called to get their cute little table machine to accept THEIR OWN gift card. It always leads to an extra 10 minutes + to our visit. We are all retired, don’t have any place else to be, but it is frustrating.

Trivia

All hat, no cattle

"All hat, no cattle" refers to someone who talks big but has no substance. It's an insult with Texas roots.

Bark up the wrong tree

To "bark up the wrong tree" comes from the early 1800s in America, when it was popular to hunt with packs of dogs. Today it means to have the wrong idea or ask the wrong person.
