Thoughts for the day
These fantastic fall days are far from boring. There is nothing boring
about them.
While I was doing the reading for today’s discussion group on the Middle
East, one of the authors explained that there is a difference between a
tactic and a policy. I realized that the difference is what is
driving me up the wall. Most of my life has been guided by policy. To change the
policy, there should be a better policy to replace it. Our current administration seems to believe
that tactics are the far better way to govern. Sanctions are a tactic, the new
ballroom is a tactic, curtailing legal, peaceful protests is a tactic. This administration
doesn’t have a clearly worded policy to back up the tactic. We need our leaders
to develop policy that will enhance future generations.
I am do glad that through all my ‘treatments’ for various health issues,
I am getting stronger and more energetic with each passing week. I’m getting a
good nights sleep every night…and my iwatch says each night is another excellent
night of sleep. I only get up once a night and wake up around 6am every day. I
had been taking a nap every afternoon…assuming it was part of getting older.
Now I don’t take that nap. I haven’t taken a nap for over a month. The treatments must be working well. Yea!!!
Animals from Native
American Legends…NEW
For
Native American peoples, animals are seen as partners and guides, not just as
part of the background.
Over
the centuries, animals have appeared in sacred stories, acting as messengers or
teachers from the spirit world. Tribes learned essential lessons from how
animals lived, hunted, traveled, or shared food.
By carefully watching animal behavior, people developed systems of respect and harmony, encouraging everyone to treat nature and each other with dignity and care.
Totem animals are much more than decorations or lucky charms in Native tradition. For many families or whole tribes, a totem is a spiritual animal relative—a helper and protector passed down through the generations.
Identifying with that animal means acting with respect toward it, sometimes even having rules against harming it.
Special
ceremonies and collective prayers help keep this connection alive and balanced,
assisting groups to celebrate their shared ancestors and unique identities.
Interesting facts…

Random Thoughts…
Dear Math folks, I
am sick of trying to find your X just except that she's gone. Move on dude.
If you drive in the opposite direction of Earth's rotation, you are technically
slowing down.
If you didn't have that voice in your head, you wouldn't be able to read this.
Someone could be stopping time, then unstopping it, and we wouldn't know.
