Thoughts for the day
Yet another nice fall day.
I got my temporary crown this morning. The dentist and his assistants did
a pain-free job. I have BC/BS Federal insurance. The coverage has been great,
but with all the changes in dental care, the coverage needs an upgrade. Open enrollment
is around the corner in November and I’m going to find a good dental add-on. I paid
$150 yesterday to glue the old crown on and then $1560 to get the new crown. The
insurance covered Nada, Zilch. The crown was about 13 years old, so no
complaints.
I find the 180° turns the President keeps taking are impossible to follow.
I wish we could go back to diplomacy where when anyone is in the administration
speaks, it has been thoroughly thought out and that it will stick.
Exploring the Richest
Countries…
China
China is the
second-richest country in the world, with a GDP per capita of $10,222 and a
total GDP of $14.2 trillion. Its economy is driven by the services,
manufacturing, and technology sectors. Wealth distribution across China’s
population is uneven; while some regions have seen economic growth since
reforms began in 1978, others remain underdeveloped.
GDP Per
Capita: The average Chinese citizen earns an estimated $10,222 per year
according to World Bank data from 2018. This figure puts China ahead of many
other countries in terms of income levels but still behind more developed
nations such as the United States ($62,641) and Germany ($48,541).
Economic
Sectors: Services is now the largest sector within China’s economy at around
50%, followed by industry (manufacturing) at 40% and agriculture at 10%.
Technology has become increasingly important for both domestic consumption and
export markets over recent years; it now accounts for nearly 20% of all exports
from China.
Despite
overall economic growth since 1978 when market reforms were introduced in
China, there remains significant inequality between different parts of the
country when it comes to wealth distribution. For example, Shanghai has one of
the highest GDP per capita figures in Asia whereas poorer provinces such as
Guizhou lag far behind on this measure despite having made progress over recent
decades
China has
made tremendous strides in economic growth and wealth distribution, but Japan
is still a close second when it comes to the richest countries. Let’s take a
look at what makes Japan so wealthy.
Interesting facts…
The Tallest
Building: Burj Khalifa
Standing
tall at a staggering height of 828 meters (2798.5’), the Burj Khalifa in Dubai,
United Arab Emirates, takes the crown as the tallest building in the world. Its
sleek design and breathtaking views from the observation deck make it a
must-visit destination for architecture enthusiasts.
Random Thoughts…
That awkward moment
when you’re looking for something, and that something is right in your hand.
If you're not going to tell me your secret, don't tell me you have one.
If the infinite universe theory is true, then in one of them social media
networks are considered a drug.
Hey, I realize I'm adult, but I too would enjoy some crayons and a menu filled
with puzzles.
