Thoughts for the day
I’m happy to report another great fall day. No complaints.
I’m not involved with on-line betting. I find it sad that so many are
involved with the NBA sports betting mess. It sure seems like Mafia families
are involved with the current scandal. I remember in my much younger days that
one of our neighbors was the Bonannos. They may or may not have been involved
with the crime family. In high school the Smaldone family went to my school.
They may or may not have been involved with the crime family. I do feel sorry
for anyone who loses money in gambling…legal or illegal. However, those who
lost to seemingly legit gambling deserve to be repaid.
Faith is taking embroidery classes this week, so our retirement group
will meet up next week for lunch.
Tomorrow is discussion group day. The topic: American Policy in the
Middle East—Taking stock and Looking Ahead. With all the news this should
be a great discussion.
Exploring the Richest
Countries…
India
India is one
of the world’s fastest-growing economies and a major player in global trade.
Its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita has been steadily increasing over
the past few years, reaching $2,170 in 2018. India’s economic sectors are
highly diversified, with services accounting for nearly 60% of its GDP followed
by industry at 28%. Agriculture accounts for 12% of its total output.
The wealth
distribution in India is heavily skewed towards the top 10%, who own around 70%
of all assets while the bottom 40% own only 5%. The richest 1 percent holds
more than four-fifths of the country’s total wealth. This inequality has grown
significantly since 2000 when it was less than two-thirds of that level.
In terms of
employment opportunities, agriculture still employs most people (around 50%)
but this number is declining as more and more people move to urban areas
looking for better job prospects or higher wages. Manufacturing and services
have become increasingly important sources of employment over recent decades as
well as contributors to GDP growth.
India also
boasts an impressive infrastructure network which includes roads, railways,
ports, and airports connecting different parts of the country together and
facilitating trade between them. It also has a large telecommunications sector
that provides internet access to millions across rural areas where traditional
means such as cable TV may not be available or affordable due to cost
constraints or lack of availability altogether due to geographical location
challenges faced by many Indian villages/townships/cities etc.
Overall, India remains an attractive destination for
investors due to its rapidly expanding economy combined with low labor costs
compared to other countries in the Asia Pacific region. This makes it a viable
option for businesses looking to set up operations here given their need and
requirement from a production point of view.
Key Takeaway: India is a rapidly expanding economy with
low labor costs, an impressive infrastructure network, and a heavily skewed
wealth distribution. It provides employment opportunities in agriculture,
manufacturing, and services as well as access to the internet in rural areas.
Interesting facts…
The Most Populous

Random Thoughts…
Sometimes, when I
put lead on my mechanical pencil, I think I am putting in ammo for a creativity
gun.
I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
Society, you tell us to be ourselves then you judge the crap out of us, why are
you so hypocritical?!
If you don't have anything nice to say, make sure that you don't say it too loudly.
