Thoughts for the day

The continuing prescribed burns are ruining the air quality here. Lots of smoke at the horizon level. A necessary inconvenience to live within a National Forest.

The Dems sure did well in yesterday's elections. Trump says he says because he was not on the ballot. I believe it is because he is in office. The winners have until January to figure out how to save our democracy. They can do it.

For several months I was just muddling through life. Now I am really enjoying every day and keeping busy taking care of business…life is great.

Animals From Native American Legends And What They Symbolize

Coyote

Coyote appears in story after story as the clever trickster who outsmarts enemies or falls into trouble through his own schemes.

This animal isn't always a hero—sometimes, coyote lessons come through failure or facing the consequences of bad choices.

By laughing at or learning from Coyote's adventures, listeners are reminded to stay humble, adapt to changes, and see that wisdom and mistakes offer valuable teachings.

Boomers Were Forced to Memorize These Facts—And They’re All Useless Now…

Bats Are Completely Blind

We were taught that bats were totally blind and relied only on echolocation to get around. Turns out, that’s not true at all—bats can see, and some even have decent eyesight. They do use echolocation, but not because they’re blind. It’s just a more efficient way to navigate in the dark. Another classic case of a fun-sounding “fact” that turned out to be totally wrong.

Random Thoughts

Pregnant women are the only true bodybuilders.

Searching for a new laptop online is basically forcing your current computer to dig its own grave.

Are those who sneeze a lot the most blessed?

Muffins are like cupcakes as smoothies are to milkshakes.

While we sleep, our brains make up stories and then get scared of them.
