Today’s Thoughts
Getting some smoke
from the nearby prescribed burn. I guess that’s expected since it is a mere 4
miles away.
The Trump trial
continues. I wonder if this trial will change any votes in November.
I did some quick
shopping this morning. Too nice a day to be inside. Took a nice walk around the
neighborhood.
NPR did a story
today on Keystone species, those species that have a disproportionate effect on
the environment according to their numbers. A fascinating look at how animals
play a major role in our environment. Examples include buffalo, beavers, and
many others. When they become endangered or extinct, an ecosystem can completely
transform. Very interesting.
Did you Know?
Interesting Facts
Fact: The world’s oldest wooden wheel has been around for more than 5,000
years
It was found in 2002,
approximately 12 miles south of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, and is now
housed in the city’s museum. Radiocarbon dating was used to determine the
wheel’s age, which is somewhere between 5,100 and 5,350 years old. Closer to
home, these are the oldest tourist
attractions in every state.
