Today’s Quote Today’s Meme
"Optimism is a huge asset. We can always use more of
it. But optimism isn't a belief that things will automatically get better;
it's a conviction that we can make things better." — Melinda French Gates

Today’s Thoughts
Nice day with a strong breeze.
Iran sent over 300
drones and missiles over Israel last night. Most were stopped by the Iron Dome
and help from friendly nations to Israel. Before the final bombs crossed into
Israel, Iran said it had avenged those killed at their embassy and now the
matter was closed. There was only minor damage in Israel. Today the Israel war
cabinet met but did not reach a consensus on what to do. Hopefully they decide
on peace.
Did you Know?
Did you know…part 2
Dubai is sandy. Go outside the gleaming city in the United
Arab Emirates, and you'll find plenty of towering sand dunes - a hot spot
for tourists. But when it comes to construction, Dubai cannot use desert sand,
simply because it's too smooth.
So, it imports sand. In
many countries, the demand for sand has led to illegal mining and the rise of a
"sand mafia." In 2014 alone, Dubai imported $456 million worth of sand, gravel, and stone.
