Today’s Thoughts

A nice spring day.

I headed out this morning this morning to get some monthly supplies. All went well.

I got a call last night from a hunting friend. He is back in the hospital as his dialysis isn’t working right. He is in Tuba; they were trying to find a hospital to fly him out. Scary for sure.

I took my vehicle to the car wash to get the latest road grime off. I wanted to have a wash and wax but there was no attendant, and my sticker automatically gives me just a quick wash. Not sure how to hide the window sticker so I can pay for a single wash and wax deluxe. I’ll figure it out, or just go to a full-service wash and wax next time.

Campus unrest continues…today in Chapel Hill, NC, students took down the American flag and tried to raise the Palestinian flag. At Columbia the protesters took over a building. WOW!

Today’s Thoughts

A nice spring day here at 7000’.

I’m very disappointed that Gov. Christie Noam of SD decided to shoot her 14-month-old dog because he was untrainable.  There are 60+ animal shelters that would have accepted the dog. Wonder if Trump will still consider her for VP?

One of the Tonalea parents texted me this morning that his son was hit and killed by a vehicle near Cow Springs. He had been a student when I was at Red Lake. Then there was an emergency alert on my phone about a Moenkopi man who was shooting at officers and fleeing to Cameron where he set off more shots. Scary.

Since I was in college during the campus protests in 1968, I am having a hard time watching the current campus protests. I don’t fully understand the reason for the protests, but I sure hope this is not a repeat of Kent State. When I was taking classes for my administrative credentials in the late 1970’s, there was never a class on how to deal with protesters on campus. A little wrong move by either side can lead to much bigger problems.
