‡‡My
Rambling Thoughts‡‡
Saturday
morning usually means listening to NPR Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me. This morning Colorado
Gov. Hickenlooper was on the show. He said that if you could take a silk cloth
to cover the entire state, including the high mountains as well as the deepest
valleys, and then measured the cloth, Colorado would be larger than Texas.
Cool.
Another
fascinating program, on CNN, is a series called ‘Believer’. Each week the host
delves into various religions around the world. I’ve seen ones on Scientology, Santa Muerte,
Voodoo. All have been worth the time. This week is on a small sect of Jews.
Thank goodness I have a DVR.
THIS IS NOT NORMAL:
TEN
weekends in a row playing golf, mostly at Trump owned properties. Who is paying
his green’s fee? I get that Presidents like to play golf. But 10 weekends in a
row?

‡‡ Joke
For The Day‡‡
What
does a skeleton order at a restaurant? Spare ribs.
Why should a skeleton drink 10 glasses of milk a day? It's good for the bones.
Why don't skeletons like parties? They have no body to dance with.

‡‡Yep,
It Really Happened‡‡
According
to RealDoll CEO Matt McCullen the new Harmony 2.0 sex dolls can be customized
with 18 different personality traits such as intellectual, shy, thrill-seeking
and sexual.
The dolls have human-like memory, and the customizable personalities can evolve.
When the owner of the doll is hungry, the doll could be asked to recommend
something to eat. Harmony will then search its memory and recommend to its
owner their favorite foods. With time, the doll learns to fall in love with its
owner and becomes like a friend.
McCullen said that the dolls will help lonely people who are unable to find
love in the real world. And of course, Harmony comes with fully functioning
head, mouth, eyes, and all the other important feminine attributes.

‡‡Somewhat
Useless Information‡‡
The
more down an item contains, the warmer (and more expensive) the product will
be. The insulation down provides is rated by "fill power," which
reflects the size of down clusters and their related loft.
***
Fill
power is measured as the number of cubic inches one ounce of down occupies. A
good down comforter will have a fill power of at least 575; more warmth is
provided by comforters with fill powers up to 800.
▩▩▩▩▩▩▩▩▩▩▩▩▩▩▩▩
‡‡How
our states were named‡‡
North
Dakota; South Dakota
North
and South Dakota both take their names from the Dakota, a tribe of Siouan
people who lived in the region. No detailed etymology of Dakota is
widely accepted, but the most common explanation is that it means “friend” or
“ally” in the language of the Sioux.

Aquarius
and Pisces
If
you were born in the month of February, you are either a Pisces or Aquarius.
Pisces falls between Feb. 19 and 28 (or 29 if it's a leap year). Aquarius
individuals, meanwhile, have birthdays between Feb. 1 and 18. The symbol of
Pisces is the fish and the symbol of Aquarius is denoted with the image of a
water-bearer. Pisces also includes those with birthdays up until March 20,
whereas Aquarius begins on Jan. 20. Source: Famous Birthdays

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with
at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes
and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is
therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian
calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
