‡‡My
Rambling Thoughts‡‡
Ah…the
winds of spring have returned to our town. Still nice, still warm, just windy
with a Red Flag warning for much of the area. Sometime this week I need to wash
my windows. Bought a new hose and nozzle to make the outside part easier. Tired
of hanging out of the upstairs windows to wash them. Now just to wait for the wind
to die down.
Did
some early morning shopping and pick up some meds. Still waiting for my eye to
completely heal but it is now much better.

Women Invite the Pizza Boy Into Their Apartment
No, it's not the opening of a porno, but it does start out like one. Two women
hatched a plan to rob a pizza delivery person because they wanted money to buy
drugs, according to police in New Hampshire. Claremont police said that they
have arrested 31-year-old Debra Pitt and 34-year-old Jennifer Tozzi, after
being accused of inviting Daniel Tarajkowski into their apartment, where they
stabbed him several times. According to the police investigation, the woman
called Domino's Pizza and made an order. The women were not interested in the
food, but in the money that the delivery person was carrying. When Tarajkowski
arrived at the women's apartment, Pitts invited him inside. Tarajkowski entered
the apartment, where the women pulled out knives and asked for his wallet. When
Tarajkowski refused to hand over his wallet, Pitts stabbed him several times.
Tozzi then grabbed his wallet that contained $300. A neighbor who heard the
commotion intervened and called the police. Pitts has been charged with armed
robbery while Tozzi has been charged with conspiracy.

‡‡Somewhat
Useless Information‡‡
Easter
cards arrived in Victorian England, when a stationer added a greeting to a
drawing of a rabbit. According to American Greetings, Easter is now the fourth
most popular holiday for sending cards, behind Christmas, Valentine's Day, and
Mother's Day.
***
The most elaborate Easter egg traditions appear to have emerged in Eastern
Europe. In Poland and Ukraine, eggs were often painted silver and gold. Pysanky
(to design or write) eggs were created by carefully applying wax in patterns to
an egg. The egg was then dyed, wax would be reapplied in spots to preserve that
color, and the egg was boiled again in other shades. The result was a
multi-color striped or patterned egg.
***
In Medieval Europe, churchgoers would take a walk after Easter Mass, led by a crucifix
or the Easter candle. Today these walks endure as Easter Parades. People show
off their spring finery, including lovely bonnets decorated for spring.

In
Da Club
After
struggling for years in the New York City hip-hop scene, Curtis Jackson, aka 50
Cent, scored a hit with "In Da Club," the first single from his
February 2003 album "Get Rich or Die Tryin." The song reached the
number-one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in March and stayed on the chart for 30
consecutive weeks. In May, Jackson released "21 Questions," which
performed almost as well as its predecessor. These two tracks vaulted the
Queens-based artist to stardom, as fans connected with his slow-burning hooks
and languid lyrical delivery. Jackson's hardscrabble past, including a shooting
that left him with nine bullet wounds, also bolstered his profile among
listeners and fellow rappers. Sources: Billboard.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with
at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes
and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is
therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian
calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
