‡‡My Rambling Thoughts‡‡
Warmest day of 2017 at 7000’. Nice. Clear sky, strong breeze, windows and doors open letting in all the spring air.

Did my weekly shopping. Never heard of orange and cranberry scones, but they are well worth a try. Thanks Sam’s for these great scones.

Didn’t realize that the First Lady was Roman Catholic. Wonder if the Pope had any words for her since she is married outside the faith?

The Manchester law enforcement is doing a great job after the recent tragedy. Good to see. Too bad the American investigators can’t keep their traps shut. Not a fan of Mae, but her words on leaks should be taken very seriously.

As a retired DOI employee, I was stunned today that the Dept. of Interior has cancelled all working groups that report to DOI. The group I am aware most of is the Grand Canyon group that has been studying the effects of the Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River on the ecosystems downstream.
Guess DOI has to listen to the President when it comes to our environment. Sad day for many.

‡‡Yep, It Really Happened‡‡
A kung fu master in China showed off his strength in a highly unusual way -- using his genitals to pull an entire bus.

The video shows the kung fu master using a rope attached to his nether regions to pull the bus, which reportedly weighs more than 13 tons. The martial artist pulled the vehicle a distance of more than 6 feet.

Groin-based kung fu training appears to be on the rise in China, with a group of students appearing in a video last month dangling heavy wooden boxes from their private parts.

Master Wei Yaobin, known as the "Iron Crotch Kung Fu Master," went viral with a video showing him and some of his students taking strong blows to the groin. Wei claims his form of kung fu can help men overcome erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.

‡‡Somewhat Useless Information‡‡
Wolves were once the most widely distributed land predator the world has ever seen. The only places they didn't thrive were in the true desert and rainforests.

Britain's King Edgar imposed an annual tax of 300 wolf skins on Wales. The Welsh wolf population was quickly exterminated.

In 1500, the last wolf was killed in England. In 1770, Ireland's last wolf was killed. In 1772, Denmark's last wolf was killed.

In 1927, a French policeman was tried for the shooting of a boy he believed was a werewolf. That same year, the last wild wolves in France were killed.

Currently, there are about 50,000 wolves in Canada; 6,500 in Alaska; and 3,500 in the Lower 48 States. In Europe, Italy has fewer than 300; Spain around 2,000; and Norway and Sweden combined have fewer than 80.

‡‡Trivia Hive  Answers‡‡
Ted Cruz
While he would surely rather be president right now, Texas Senator Ted Cruz is, in fact, the chair of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Space, Science and Competitiveness. In this role, Cruz works with fellow senators to provide oversight on organizations related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics, as well as play a role in shaping research, measurement and policy regarding these fields - and space, of course. Basically, a lot of complex science stuff that makes being president sound a lot easier in comparison. Source: U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science & Transportation

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
