‡‡My
Rambling Thoughts‡‡
Cheryl
came into town early this week, so we had our weekly lunch today. My favorite
place (SmashBurger) was not crowded because the NAU students are not around.
Had a great lunch and discovered Veggie Frites…green beans and carrots, but not
deep fried, but flash fried. GREAT!
Door
open, windows open, fresh spring air everywhere. Great spring day.
Our
wonderful cable company has gone all digital, no more analog transmissions. Turns
out the ‘switchover’ has not gone as planned. Yesterday I couldn’t get 4 local
channels. Today its 5 local channels, seems
the great company can’t figure out this whole digital thing. Glad it is a nice day, so life will go on.
Yesterday it took me an hour on the phone, and it still wasn’t fixed. Then like
magic about 8p, the channels worked. Not wasting time to call them again today…they
don’t care…as long as they get my payment every month, they are happy.

‡‡Somewhat
Useless Information‡‡
A
male and female that mate usually stay together for life. They are devoted
parents and maintain sophisticated family ties.
A wolf pack may contain just two or three animals, or it may be 10 times as
large.
Though many females in a pack are able to have pups, only a few will actually
mate and bear pups. Often, only the alpha female and male will mate, which
serves to produce the strongest cubs and helps limit the number of cubs the
pack must care for.
Biologists have found that wolves will respond to humans imitating their howls.
Wolves howl to contact separated members of their group, to rally the group
before hunting, or to warn rival wolf packs to keep away. Lone wolves will howl
to attract mates or just because they are alone.

Biff
Tannen
Anybody
home, McFly? Biff was one of the classic film antagonists of the 80s.
Throughout the three movies of the trilogy, Marty McFly clashed with a
present-day version of Biff, a teenager in the 1950s, an alternative future
mogul and an ancestor in the Wild West, all played by Tom Wilson. The
ultra-rich version of Biff was even based on a certain real estate
tycoon-turned-president we all know... Source: The Daily Beast, IMDB

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with
at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes
and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is
therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian
calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
