‡‡My
Rambling Thoughts‡‡
Our
discussion group had to be postponed due an illness at the home we were to meet.
We’ll do it next month.
Caught
up with my Sunday morning News shows. While I am not a supporter of our current
President, I now see that impeachment may be worse for the country. Our current
VP may not be as odd, he certainly has some very frightening beliefs about many
social issues I believe in.
Since
we still don’t know exactly how Russia interfered with our recent election, the
current mess might just be part of their plan. If the President is impeached,
and the VP is caught up in the mess, that means that Speaker Ryan would be
President. Not a nice picture for our country. Our country ends up with Ryan or
one step farther, Hatch. There could
easily be lots of internal and external fodder that our democracy doesn’t
really work. Where that would lead is anybody’s guess. Whatever happens, this
mess is far from over.

‡‡Yep,
It Really Happened‡‡
*-----
Woman Sued for Texting During Date -----*
A man decided to file a lawsuit against his rude date for excessive use of her
cell phone while watching a movie, according to court documents in Texas.
According to the lawsuit filed with the Travis County small claims court, the
35-year-old woman who was identified as Crystal, accompanied 37-year-old
Brandon Vezmar of Austin, to a movie as part of their first date. After the
movie began, Crystal activated her phone about 20 times in 15 minutes to read
and send text messages, which is in direct violation of the theater's policy.
This activity adversely affected the viewing experience of Vezmar and others.
Upon being asked to stop texting, Crystal left the theater and did not return.
Vezmar later asked Crystal to give him back the money he spent on the date, but
she refused. Vezmar is seeking $17.31 in compensation for Crystal's movie
ticket and slice of pizza. Vezmar told the court that Crystal's behavior is a
threat to civilized society. I'd agree with that.

‡‡Somewhat
Useless Information‡‡
Butterflies
are a long-standing part of the earth's environmental fabric, with butterfly
fossils dating back as far as 40-50 million years ago.
***
Butterflies
go through four stages; egg, caterpillar, pupae and adult. Some species have
just one brood a year, while others may spawn up to four generations annually.
***
Millions
of Monarch butterflies, which reside in the Northeast in the summer, make a
2,000-mile migration down to Mexico for the winter months. After congregating
there, they'll mate and new generations will make the return trip back north in
the warmer months.

Leon
Czolgosz
On
Sept. 6, 1901, President William McKinley was shot twice by Leon Czolgosz while
attending a world's fair in Buffalo, New York. Even though emergency surgery
managed to keep McKinley alive for a week after the incident, he died suddenly
from gangrene on Sept. 14. McKinley's body was buried in his hometown of
Canton, Ohio. For his crimes, Czolgosz was convicted and executed by electric
chair six weeks after McKinley passed away. Source: HISTORY

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with
at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes
and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is
therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian
calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
