Today’s Thoughts

It’s very cloudy. Up to 8” of snow due tonight and tomorrow. No moisture yet.

I did a bit of shopping in preparation for the snow, filled the vehicle with gas and got fresh veggies and fruit. I hope it’s not 8” but I’m ready if it is.

Last night my iWatch went crazy with flashing screens. I saw on my phone that there was an update needed for the watch. When I went to bed I plugged both the watch and phone in to be recharged and clicked to update the watch. When I got up the watch was working fine. I checked the phone and the update never happened. I tried again but after 3 hours it still hadn’t updated. I will try again tonight, I guess.

Last night, about 9:45 I heard a huge plane flying very low over my house. Within the next 5 minutes there were 4 more jets. My local news app talked about it, and the answer was F-35 cargo planes on a training mission from the East Coast to practice high altitude landing at our local airport. Cool.

Weird History…

King Tut's Parents Were Probably Siblings

It's hard to believe, but it's true: King Tutankhamun's parents were likely siblings. This fact is one of the most fascinating discoveries in ancient Egyptian history. While this may sound like a wild conspiracy theory, DNA evidence from 2010 confirmed that Pharaoh Akhenaten and his chief queen, Nefertiti, were indeed brother and sister. It was also revealed that Tutankhamun had been born with several physical deformities due to his family’s close blood ties. Despite these shocking revelations about his parentage, Tutankhamun went on to become one of Egypt's most famous pharaohs, ruling for just ten years before dying at the age of 19. His legacy lives on today as a reminder of the power of royalty and the mysteries of the past.

Civil War Facts

The Seven Days Battles

From June 26 to July 2, 1862, several battles transpired at various sites in Virginia: Mechanicsville, Gaines's Mill, Savage's Station, Frayser's Farm, and Malvern Hill. Newly installed Gen. Robert E. Lee's army sustained massive losses, but the fighting ultimately resulted in the Confederacy's primary goal: saving the city of Richmond.
