Gotta love these great summer days. No complaints.
Richard is flying back to Mexico.
Before my illness I had bought a pair of leather slipper sandals to
wear around the house. I usually just wear socks. They arrived but were very
tight and hard to get on. Yesterday I pulled and pulled on the heals to stretch
the leather. Amazingly it worked. They now fit well and I’m enjoying them.
This morning I was taking out 2 bags of trash. My Mexican neighbor
saw me coming out the door, walked up to me and said ‘let me take those’. What
a nice neighbor.

bats range from southern Oregon and Nebraska to South America. In Colorado,
this species seems confined to the southern half of the
state.
Previously the Brazilian
free-tailed bat was considered only a wanderer in Colorado, but it is now known
to be a summer resident.
