My Rambling Thoughts
Cloudy with a little rain/snow. Nothing to
stick, just to make it weird outside.
Did some running around.
Had my second blood draw, to cut down on red
blood cells. This one was much faster and I am almost to the goal. It is
certainly better than leeches. Still don’t know what is going on, but see the
PHP next week for some answers. All good.

For me, journeying
into remote traditional villages is like traveling into the ancient corners of
the human spirit. There are however, fun moments as well, like when these Enga
boys from the highlands of Papua New Guinea surprised me by popping their
bubblegum during a performance at the cultural Sing Sing Festival of Mount Hagen.
The festival gathers over 20,000 people from the highlands to compete for
"cultural integrity". The photo opportunities are endless! Join me on
my journey to photograph in some of the world's most remote locations. Follow

2 jokes for the day
Reporter interviewing a 105-year-old
lady....
"What is the best thing about being 105?" the reporter asked.
The old lady replied, "No peer pressure."
├├├├
Some boy scouts from the city were
on a camping trip. The mosquitoes were so fierce, the boys had to hide under
their blankets to avoid being bitten. Then one of them saw some lightning bugs
and said to his friend, "We might as well give up. They're coming after us
with flashlights!"

*- God Has Come and It's Not Who You Expected -*
13-year-old Muhammad Raihan from the
Indonesian village of Mamburung on the island of Borneo suffers from a rare
genetic condition called Werewolf Syndrome which causes his hands, legs, back
and stomach to be covered in hair. But Muhammad has turned down medical
treatment for his ultra rare condition because he thinks it's a blessing from
God. In fact, the boy is revered as a Hindu deity in his Indonesian village
because of his unusually thick, three inch long black hair which practically
covers his entire body. Muhammed faces name-calling from some peers who liken
him to Hindu monkey god Hanuman. But the devout Muslim, who lives with his
widowed mother and four siblings, is unfazed with the name-calling and
considers himself to be God's special child. Muhammed said: "I am not
bothered with such attention - some people laugh at me, others just come to me
for a blessing. They think I am a god or have special powers, but this
attention is okay because I know I look different."

All ‘data’
info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other
source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the
information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult
to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted
[1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
