Today’s Thoughts
Weather man says 3-5” of the white stuff late today and
tomorrow. I’ve been around quite a while…I’ll just wait and see. It can be very humid in Yucatan, Mexico. The humidity
softened some wax in my right ear. On the way up from Phoenix my ears wanted
to pop but didn’t….elevation change. The next day it didn’t pop either. Then I
started home remedies to get the wax out. Finally on Tuesday they finally
popped, but only for an hour. I called my Dr. at 8:15 and got a 9am
appointment. I got in quickly. Yep, wax on the eardrum. It took abut 20
minutes and 2 different Nurses to finally get all the wax out with water
pressure. I can now hear like a teenager again. Happy camper. Turns out I
have a very narrow ear canal. I don’t support Marjorie Taylor Green on any political
stance she has. However, she has been elected and should not have threats
against her. The new way some are hassling elected officials is called ‘swatting’.
A person calls 911 and says there are shots fired, or hostages, or dead
bodies at the politician’s home. SWAT arrives, guns drawn, scare the residents,
and find nothing. It can also happen to non-political people. In those cases,
a few innocent Americans have been injured or killed by police. Over the
weekend, Green had her 9th Swatting. No one was injured. This
should not be part of life for any American politician or citizen. |

Important inventions…
1967: Coronary Bypass Surgery Rene Favaloro performs the first coronary bypass surgery
in 1967, taking a length of vein from a leg and grafting it onto the coronary
artery. This allows blood to flow around the blocked section. Thanks in part
to these advances, the number of deaths from heart disease declines in the
U.S. by almost 50 percent. |
