My
Rambling Thoughts
Warm and some big gusts of
wind. Otherwise…nice.
Amazing memorial in
Dallas. Listened to or watched most of it. There is hope. Pres. Bush the
younger certainly was into the Battle
Hymn of the Republic. So nice to see the holding of hands. Lots of great
ideas were laid out…hope people were listening and then move to make it happen.
I am certainly concerned
about the deaths in Dallas. I am very concerned about the death of the shooter…not
that he is dead…but in the manner in which he died. To use a robot to kill a
man is just like using drones to kill people around the world. The man said
that he had planted bombs around the city. Surely a flash bomb or a smoke bomb
would have disoriented this crazed man and allowed police to subdue him and
find out about where the bombs are or if they even existed. The robot could have
delivered either one too. The idea that the police can now kill suspects with a
bomb seems, excuse me, overkill. Will this now become the norm?

Sounds A Little Fishy
A guy went fishing with
his friend and had to ask, "Where is that new rod and reel you had the
last time we went fishing? I can't help but notice that you’re using a stick a
string and a safety pin for a hook."
His friend replied, "My wife thinks I'm wasting money so I told her I’d
take the new rod and reel back if I didn’t catch a fish... any more
questions?"
"Yes, why didn’t you go to the market and buy a fish to take home? If you
remember that's what I did last year so I could keep my fishing gear."
His friend answered, "I did, but I forgot to take it out of the
package!"

Somewhat
Useless Information
Humans
can survive 15-30 seconds in outer space as long as they breathe out before the
exposure. Breathing out prevents the lungs from bursting and sending air into
the bloodstream. After roughly 15 seconds, a person will become unconscious due
to lack of oxygen, which leads to death by asphyxiation. The worst problem
would be lack of oxygen, not lack of pressure, in the vacuum of outer space.
Astronauts can grow up to 3 percent taller during the six months they spend on
the International Space Station. Without gravity, their spines are free to
expand. It takes a couple of months of being back on Earth for them to return
to their preflight height.
After returning to Earth, many astronauts have a difficult time adjusting to
gravity and often forget that things fall if you drop them.
NASA officials have
maintained that astronauts have never had sex on the International Space
Station or during any space shuttle missions. Scientists speculate, however,
that while sex in space might pose some mechanical problems, conceiving a child
could be dangerous. Low gravity could raise the risk of an ectopic pregnancy,
and radiation could raise the risk of birth defects.
While no NASA astronauts have had sex in space, in 1999 porn stars Silvia Saint
and Nick Lang did a 20-second zero-gravity intercourse scene for the film The
Uranus Experiment: Part Two.

Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita
Today is “Collector Car Appreciation
Day" so strap on your white gloves, dawn your favorite driving cap and
stand about six feet away from your boss's Lamborghini for an Instagram shot.
However, today we are taking a look at a car that is more precious than
diamonds or, maybe, as precious as diamonds because it is literally coated in
them. Yes, the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita has an exterior finish called the
Koenigsegg Proprietary Diamond Weave, which involves coating carbon fibers with
a diamond dust-impregnated resin just to take up that fear of door dings a
notch. Although, don't worry about what happens if you happen to hit one of
them. Only two of them have ever been made and one belongs to Floyd Mayweather
Jr. so if you do hit one, you probably won't live much longer. Source: Digital

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and
is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that
every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many
sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events
occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be
totally accurate.
