My Rambling Thoughts
So, even at 7000’ there can be a heat wave. Today is the second day of very warm temps for us…nowhere near Phx’s temps, but it all has to do with what one is used to. I woke up about midnight, very warm. I had not opened the window in the bedroom before hitting the hay. I opened the window, walked around a little, and went back to bed. Still too hot to sleep. Finally fell asleep around 2am. All windows are now open so I can sleep tonight. A little early for any heatwave here.
I’m still waiting for Donald to make the announcement that he has always been a Democrat and this was just an exercise to show how gullible the Republican voters really are.
My sister-in-law is in China on a business trip to promote here latest designs. Very cool.

Brain Teasers
(answers at the end of post)
A Baked Treat
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.
Difficulty:

(Thing 1)
I, at the start, am old
Many centuries I've been told
Used by the Greeks
For counting techniques
After things were bought and sold

Later is when I became known
As an infinite figure, when shown
You've counted my spaces
Over two billion places
And still, my amount is unknown

(Thing 2)
I, too, am not young
I'm almost as old as Thing 1
I'm just a frog
On the natural log
But I can make counting fun

(Thing 1 and Thing 2)
When you combine us two
In the order of Thing 1 and Thing 2
We'll be a baked treat
That's painful to beat
Whether cherry, peach, or aloo

2 jokes for the day
A little old lady was driving the wrong way down a one-way street and was stopped by a cop.

“Didn’t you see the arrows?” he asked.

“Arrows? I didn’t even see the Indians!” she exclaimed.

A chemical engineer, electrical engineer, and a Microsoft engineer are on a road trip. The car breaks down.

The electrical engineer looks under the hood and can't find anything wrong.

The chemical engineer checks the oil and fuel and can't find anything wrong.

The Microsoft engineer says, "Close all the windows, and try again."

Somewhat Useless Information
Dr. Tony Fallone noted in 1997 that hair color is the root of a person's personality. Blondes are typically more outgoing and lively and are perceived as more feminine than women with other hair colors. According to Fallone, being blonde is not a hair color, but a state of mind.
***
Nearly 2,000 years before Homer, during the time of the Proto-Indo-Europeans, blonde hair was connected to the worship of the sun and fire and to the adoration of a yellow dawn goddess.
***
During the Roman era German blondes were taken captive and had their hair cut off to be made into wigs for fashionable ladies.
***
But by the Middle Ages, blonde women were held with suspicion, and by the mid-14th century, depictions of Eve were consistently giving her free-flowing locks of golden blonde hair that marked her as an evil temptress.
***
In Ancient Rome, women tried to dye their hair blonde with pigeon dung. In Renaissance Venice, they used horse urine.
***
Hydrogen peroxide was discovered in 1818, but there was little application for it until 1867 when it was found that it could bleach hair. It quickly became popular throughout Europe and America, superseding everything else that had been used as bleach before then.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
