Today’s Quote                                                        Today’s Meme

"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." — Robert Frost

Today’s Thoughts

My PCP does both the annual physical and the annual Medicare Wellness. Today was the annual physical. It showed I was A-OK for a man of my age. Good news!

Flagstaff has received 103.2” of snow this season. That’s the first time since 2007-08 and the first time since 1990-91 to have 2 consecutive years with over 100”. Another storm expected this weekend. The forest will be in good shape.

Conservatives are fine with Trump’s Bible + but are upset that Biden mentioned, in his Annual Easter address, that it was also International Transgender Day of Visibility that has been celebrated March 31 around the world since 2008. Their rage is just silly.

Terms with origins in rural America

A "dead ringer" originated in 19th-century American horse racing, when a horse racing under a fake name was called a ringer, and dead meant exact. Today a dead ringer is an exact copy or resemblance.

Native Cultures

The Iconic Princess Leia Hairstyle Was Inspired By Native Americans

The "cinnamon buns" hairstyle won by actress Carrie Fisher in the original Star Wars movie trilogy is one of the most iconic styles in the history of cinema and cosmetology alike. Multiple reports confirm that one of the biggest sources of inspiration for the style is Hopi women.

The development of the hairstyle originated with a variety of different sources - including science fiction, artwork, and historical images. The overall look of Princess Leia and her "cinnamon bun" hairstyle was developed by the collaborative efforts of Princess Leia and George Lucas.

Historical Myths many believe…

However, as the empire expanded and incorporated other peoples, various regional languages and dialects coexisted alongside Latin. Greek held significant importance in the eastern part of the empire, and Aramaic and Egyptian were spoken in certain regions as well.
