Today’s Thoughts
It’s a breezy day. I’ll see if I want to go out later.
There are way too many unclear reasons for why we are bombing Iran. This
is now affecting the view of America by many allies and enemies. It is turning
into a mess that will take decades to clean up. Many Americans are speaking up
that this is not why they voted for Trump. It is sad that he can’t clearly
state the reason<s> that he sent the bombs. Americans know that innocent
Iranian women and children are being killed by our bombs. The retaliation bombs
are doing a lot of damage to the populations in nearby states. When I was in
school, and when I was a teacher or supervisor in schools, I always thought
that students should know the consequences of their actions. I also thought
that knowing the consequences ahead of the incident would usually prevent an
incident. I am feeling that the current administration must have been absent
during all those lessons.
Common Saying’s Origin
As drunk as Cooter Brown
"Cooter Brown" was a
figure in Southern stories who lived on the Mason-Dixon line during the Civil
War. To avoid having to serve on either side, legend has it, he stayed drunk
for the length of the war.
That dog won't hunt
"That dog won't hunt" refers to something that is defective or doesn't function properly. In the South, it's a term derived from hunting.
