Today’s Thoughts
Spring is always
windy around here. Just starting a little early.
I’m so tired of
finger pointing in my daily life. Up until February I was tired of it in National
Politics. Now I am tired of it with Medicare. I should get my script sometime
next week. I was paying $40 for a 90-day
supply, then on January 1 with no notice made it available to me for free
through Medicare. I learned that when I tried to get a new delivery in late January.
I started then to get it ordered through Medicare. My supply ends today. I got
a text from the distributor that I would get the 90-day supply by Thursday. I
have made at least 15 calls to the doctor’s office, the company, and starting
today to the distributor. The company and the distributor have their blame game
down to an art. My doctor says I’ll be OK to miss up to a week. Just
frustrated.

America’s Top Attractions
1930s: Empire State Building,
New York City, New York
New York’s iconic 103-story
Art Deco skyscraper was completed in 1931 and was the world’s tallest building
up until the 1970s. Today it is one of the city's most-visited and recognized
landmarks, starting its on-screen career in the 1933 movie King Kong. However,
despite generating great publicity and fanfare at the time of its construction,
the Empire State Building remained relatively empty and unvisited until the
1950s. By 1976, its observatory had welcomed its 50 millionth visitor.

Princess Leia's Hair Was Inspired By Hopi Women
Princess Leia from the Star Wars franchise is one of the most
iconic characters in film history. Some may not know the inspiration behind her
famous hairdo.
The women of the Hopi tribe often wore their hair in the
"squash blossom" style. It became more popular during the 1920s after
photos were taken of the women and shown around America.
