Today’s Thoughts

It looks like another windy day.

Recently it seems that every day I get new updates for my system. Some take just a few minutes, but others take almost an hour. Some install and I move on, others install and I must restart the computer before continuing to work. It can be very intrusive, because I usually do it just before I want to turn off my computer. I feel very frustrated as a non-Geek.

So Trump told America that he doesn’t care about America’s financial situation when asked about Iran. Thanks for the heads up, your job is to serve the American people. Here’s another heads up, I don’t care if billionaires make money, I am concerned about the American people.

Cheryl, a former colleague, had a birthday last week. I didn’t call as she is suffering from dementia. Then her son called to be sure I was OK. We set up a phone call with Cheryl. The three of us had a nice long…about 45 minutes…conversation. I promised to stay in better contact.

 Science Fact of the Day

The Troposphere is the lowest layer of Earth’s atmosphere, extending from the planet’s surface up to roughly 7.5 miles high (it is slightly lower at Earth’s poles and slightly higher around the equator). In this atmospheric layer, temperatures decrease as height increases. This is because most of the heat in the Troposphere is generated by the transfer of energy from Earth’s surface.

Native American Courage in History

The Battle Of Tippecanoe And The Defiant Leadership Of Tecumseh

At the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811, Native forces led by Tecumseh’s brother, Tenskwatawa, fought to defend their lands from U.S. encroachment. While the battle ended in defeat, it fueled further Native resistance, as Tecumseh’s vision of a unified confederacy continued to inspire defiance against settler colonialism.
