Today’s Thoughts
I’m enjoying the Federal Holiday. I always try
to not promote business that doesn’t let their employees have this day off.
I did call my CPAP
supplier to get needed supplies. Turns out they all have to be ordered so it
will be a while.
Last night 60
Minutes ran the story on the CECOT prison in El Salvador. It had been pulled
in December as the leader of CBS wanted more from Trump. I guess it happened
cause it was aired. This is not a prison that any American should ever be sent
to. I’m happy that the report was finally aired, with a new ending.
Smerconish made an interesting
find: 45% of voters are Independent and Dems and Republicans are each at 27%.
That is bad news for political parties, and probably to the pollsters who
rarely poll the Independents in their polls. It’s time for a change.
Trivia
Human beings can use only a small fraction of Earth’s water
In school, we were taught that most (specifically, 71 percent) of the planet’s surface is covered in water. While that’s true, humans can use only 0.007 percent of that water, according to National Geographic. That’s because only about 2.5 percent of Earth’s water is fresh water, and only 1 percent of that is accessible. The rest make up glaciers and snowfields. By the way, have you ever wondering why we can “smell” snow?
