John Mason's approximately 100 Indian allies, but he is seventy-seven Europeans

My
Rambling Thoughts
Spring here is going to be renamed WIND as our
four seasons are Summer, Fall, Winter, and Wind. Another day of big wind, life
goes on.
Headed out to run errands and get a haircut.
Time for a spring cleanup of my hair. Feels good.
Had my monthly checkup for my computer
yesterday. Eddy through chat function says ‘OK, I’ll call you in 15 minutes’.
Well the checkup took over 2 hours and is running like new. Have to say Tech
Alliance is the best service. Microsoft approved, a tad hard to understand on
the phone (Indian accents) but great through chat. They have annual subscriptions
that are reasonable, and if I forget to do a monthly checkup, they call me to
remind me. They are the best.
I have a sleep study set up for Saturday
night. I go in at 9:30pm and get out at 6:00am. Should be able to help figure
out my blood issue. Only instructions are to be on time, no alcohol after 10a…really,
and a pair of two piece PJ’s. Don’t wear PJ’s but have something that should
work. Onward and upward.

Brain
Teasers
(answers at the end of post)
Back in Forth
Language brain teasers are those
that involve the English language. You need to think about and manipulate words
and letters.
Based on the clue in parentheses,
find a four-letter word that can be inserted backwards into the blank to
complete a longer word.
Example: di____ve (a defeat)
Answer: dissolve ("A defeat" gives you LOSS, which is placed
backwards in the blank: di_SSOL_ve.)
1. dis____s (horse movement)
2. mi____ce (high mountains)
3. l____ion (a Mexican food)
4. s____ing (food skin)

A young man checks his nets for fish next to
the U Bein Bridge, south of Mandalay in Myanmar. After an early morning
motorcycle ride through quiet, dark streets, I arrived before sunrise to
photograph this unique teakwood bridge and watched as the pace of life
quickened with the sun rising higher in the sky.

jokes for the day
I said to the gym instructor, “Can you teach
me to do the splits?”
She said, “How flexible are you?”
I replied, “I'm pretty flexible, but I can’t make Tuesdays.”

After watching the movie Cinderella,
five-year-old Sarah started using her pinwheel as a magic wand, pretending she
was a fairy godmother. "Make three wishes," she told her mother,
"and I'll grant them."
Her mom first asked for world peace. Sarah swung her wand and proclaimed the
request fulfilled.
Next, her mother requested for a cure for all ill children. Again, with a sweep
of the pinwheel, Sarah obliged.
The mother, with a glance down at her rather ample curves, made her third wish,
"I wish to have a trim figure again."
The miniature fairy godmother started waving her wand madly. "I'll need
more power for this one!" she exclaimed.

Somewhat
Useless Information
Common dream motifs that transcend cultural
and socio-economic boundaries include falling, flying, nakedness in public, and
unpreparedness. Such shared dreams arise from experiences and anxieties fundamental
to all people.
While dream interpretation may not be accurate, it is certainly not new. The
Beatty Papyrus, written around 1350 B.C. and discovered at Thebes, is the
oldest dream dictionary existing today. It describes special dream-interpreting
priests called 'Masters of the Secret Things' or 'Learned Ones of the Magic
Library.'

All opinions are mine…feel free to agree or disagree.
All ‘data’
info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other
source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the
information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult
to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted
[1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
