Today’s Thoughts

Chilly morning but warming up nicely.

I went over to the mall for their arts & crafts sales. There were about 50 vendors from around the area. I talked to several native vendors displaying jewelry and crafts. I asked one vendor where he was from and after the usual Navajo Reservation, I asked him where? He said Downtown Cameron. I laughed a little as there is no ‘downtown’ there and said I was in Tuba for many years.  Then he laughed and lived about 5 mi. north of Cameron on the Grand Canyon road. A little later, a lady and her non-native husband were selling nice hand-sewn potholders and other cute hand made crafts. We started talking and after a few sentences, she said, ‘You are Mr. Frazier’. Turns out she was a great SpEd aide from Red Lake when I was there. She lost her husband while at Red Lake. He was Army Reserve and been killed in an auto accident on the way to training. She raised 2 successful boys alone, left Red Lake 2 years later and moved to Flag. I saw her a couple of times when she worked in a high-end jewelry store at the mall years ago. We had a nice conversation, and I bought some nice potholders. A nice way to spend Saturday morning.

Before leaving for the mall, I was checking my email on my office computer. Out of nowhere I got the dreaded blue screen. I took my phone and about 30 minutes for fix it. Still not sure why, but the computer is working fine now.

Enjoy
