Today’s Thoughts

Yesterday was a long day, but everything worked out I saw my blood doctor yesterday. The PA is usually see, as I am not a critical patient, had a baby boy last week. They are both doing well. My red cell count was just a tad over the level for a phlebotomy, Since, it was a morning appointment, I could get the procedure the same day. In at 10am to see the Dr. He is getting ready to go home for Christmas in Slovakia to see his 92-year-old mother. At 1:00 I returned to the lab for the needle then upstairs for the phlebotomy. It only took about 15 minutes. I dropped off some Christmas munchies at the lab and the blood doctor’s office. Then I did a little shopping downtown. Got home about 3:00. I was too lazy to do the blog.

Odd ways to spend your Christmas money…Santos has raised is personalized video clip to $500 per video. If that’s not your thing, for a $4500 donation to Trump, you will receive a piece of the suit he wore in his now famous mug shot. Such a deal.

 Enjoy

Birthdays with some quotes

@96 – Freeman John Dyson, English/American mathematician, and futurist
“It appears that mind, as manifested by the capacity to make choices, is to some extent inherent in every atom. The universe as a whole is also weird, with laws of nature that make it hospitable to the growth of mind. I do not make any clear distinction between the mind and God. God is what mind becomes when it has passed beyond the scale of our comprehension.”
@91 – Alexandre Eiffel, French engineer, Eiffel Tower (d. 1923)
@85 – Tim Conway, American comedian and actor (d. 2019)
“It’s hard to be sad when you’re laughing, so I enjoy making people happy.”

“I’ve realized over the years that, with rare exceptions, most writer’s block isn’t writer’s block at all: It’s necessary time that allows the unconscious mind to do its deep work.”
60 – Helen Slater, American actress
44 – Adam Brody, American actor
“Comic books aren’t nerdy. You’d have to be an idiot to think computers are nerdy
