My Rambling Thoughts
Getting ready for the Labor Day weekend. Time to clean up and get ready for fall and winter. Spent some time today starting the process which will continue throughout the weekend. Overall we had a good monsoon, even though I was traveling for much of it. A little shower yesterday and another shower this morning and another this afternoon.

This is also county fair weekend and art show weekend so I’ll spend some time at both.

Very concerned about where our country is headed. Only read about such horrible ideas from the McCarthy era. Sad that Trump picked AZ to make this statement, worse was that he was introduced by both McCain and our current Governor. There are no simple answers to our immigration strategy…and only the under educated can believe that simple solutions will solve our issues. I did tutoring of migrant workers…children and adults, when I was in college.  So many challenges for them. There was no talk back them about ‘illegal’, only that the needed help with their education. Maybe that is the America Trump wants to go back to? Hahaha.

Thin Boardwalk Models

Why are boardwalk models so thin?

It's so the outfit will look the same when you see it on a clothing hanger at the store.

Confused in Conversation

I was checking out at the busy super market, and the cashier was having problems. The register ran out of paper, the scanner malfunctioned, and finally the cashier spilled a handful of coins. When she totaled my order, it came to exactly $22.

Trying to soothe her nerves, I said, "That's a nice round figure."

Still frazzled, she glared at me and said, "You're no bean pole yourself."

*--- Pennsylvania Man Feeling a Little Horse ---*

Police in Pennsylvania say a man admitted to attempting to have sex with a small horse. Officers were dispatched to investigate an incident in West Cocalico Township. Authorities say witnesses saw a car stop near a barn, watched the driver go inside for a short time and then leave. They noted the vehicle's license plate and provided the information to police. Officers traced the plate to the home of 21-year-old Travis Wagner. Investigators say Wagner told police he had entered the barn for the purpose of engaging in sexual intercourse with a miniature horse that was inside. Wagner has been charged with one count of Burglary, a Felony of the second degree and one count of Sexual Intercourse with an Animal, which is a second degree Misdemeanor.

Somewhat Useless Information
Not only did the ancient Egyptians give us pyramids and flush toilets, they also pioneered the field of deodorants. Egyptians were the first to popularize the idea of applying scents to armpits, usually using cinnamon and other spices that wouldn't turn rancid in the heat.
***
Antiperspirants are classified as drugs by the FDA. Technically, they affect and/or alter your body's natural functions.

The first modern brand of antiperspirant, EverDry, hit drugstores in 1903. The original formula was so acidic that it regularly ate through clothing.

Of course, modern antiperspirants can also ruin your clothing. Aluminum chloride, the ingredient that blocks glandular openings and prevents sweating, is notorious for turning T-shirts yellow. So, blame your antiperspirant for your pit stains, not your body.

Phil Mickelson
Both Phil Mickelson and Jordan Spieth are pretty neck-in-neck when it comes to earnings. Mickelson earned $52.9 million this year while Spieth was just behind at $52.8 million. However, if we add prize money to the mix, that launches Spieth's income an extra $20.8 million! Michelson only made $2.9 million this year in prize money. Only. Source: Forbes

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify.
