My Rambling Thoughts
Windy
day…thank goodness I’m not out in TC with the sand…
About
20 years ago I bought a Hoover Carpet Shampooer. It still works, but doesn’t
really clean the carpet anymore. Found a Bissell that advertises to be better
than the leading rental cleaner. I’ll see tomorrow if that is true. The older
one will head to Goodwill where they can fix it up and do whatever with it.

Brain Teasers
(answers
at the end of post)
Personal Pronouns
Language brain teasers are those that involve
the English language. You need to think about and manipulate words and letters.
"She" is a word that contains two personal pronouns: she and he. What
five-letter word beginning with "U" contains four personal pronouns?

The
Amish Carriage
While
driving in Pennsylvania, a family caught up to an Amish carriage. The owner of
the carriage obviously had a sense of humor, because attached to the back of
the carriage was a hand printed sign...
Energy efficient vehicle.

Somewhat Useless Information
Odor
Tester - Some chemist has to make sure that all of those deodorants and
anti-perspirants are operating properly to keep their users free of funk!
***
Citrus
Fruit Dyer - There are commercial farmers out there who dye citrus fruit a more
vibrant color to hide the ripeness of the fruit.
***
IMAX
Screen Cleaner - Someone has to make sure that huge screen is crystal clear for
our viewing pleasure.
***
Light
Bender - Making neon lights seems like it would be a relatively easy job, but
it requires a lot of precision and electrical work. If the lights don't have
the proper thickness and shaping, they will amount to nothing more than broken
glass.
***
Weed
Farmer - Weed farmers actually grow weeds rather than trying to get rid of
them. They sell them to horticulture schools and labs so various people can do
research and studies on them.
***
Cow
Hoof Trimmer - Just like horseshoes, cows need some hoof maintenance too. Cows
can have poor milk production, lameness, and decreased fertility if not
properly groomed.

Trivia Hive
Answers
264,172
gallons
Here
at The Hive, we wanted to remind you that sometimes you can have too much of a
good thing- like beer. In 1814, a brewery owned by the Meux's Brewing Company
had a large vat in Downtown London that exploded, flooding the streets with
over 264,000 gallons of porter which equate to roughly 1,000,000 liters of
beer! Though it sounds like every frat guy's dream come true, it was actually
responsible for the destruction of two homes, eight deaths, and a plethora of
hangovers. Source: The History Channel

Disclaimer: All
opinions are mine…feel free to agree or disagree.
All ‘data’ info is from
the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I
have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information
is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify.
Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the
dates may not be totally accurate.
