‡‡My Rambling Thoughts‡‡
Great weather day here. Warm, slight breeze, and a great day to be outside.

Cher proved ‘you can turn back time’ last night. WOW 71!

So the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ has done their final performance. As a kid, our family went to see it every few years. When I was working on the Rez, that circus came to Phoenix every summer, and my friends and I would always take kids. I certainly understand the animal abuse protests. I have to wonder if there is suddenly going to be an onslaught of tight rope walkers above the city streets. And will we see lots of Clowns crawling out of cars in the Wal-Mart parking lot.  And what will happen to all those top hatted Ringmasters…maybe they will become traffic directors or school crossing guards.

AND

We have a great circus going on in DC, with lots of politicians walking a tight rope, plenty of clowns, but sadly, no honorable ringmaster. It plays daily, except for the many vacation days, and its free to watch.

‡‡Yep, It Really Happened‡‡
*----- It's Official: Danish Beer is Piss -----*

People were surprised to learn that a beer they were tasting was made using human urine. Norrebro Bryghus, which is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, said that they decided to use human urine as the company switched to organic. The CEO of Norrebro Bryghus, Henrik Vang, said that the company collected 13,000 gallons of human urine waste form the toilets of the largest music festival in Europe. The company then used the waste in the malting process. The human urine that the company had collected was enough to produce 60,000 bottles of beer. The company named the beer Pisner. Other organic beer brewers use animal manure in the malting process while traditional companies use factory-made fertilizer. Vang said that Pisner fits in perfectly with the new trend of producing recyclable beer. At first, people cringed at the idea of drinking a beer that was made using human urine, but eventually, they came around. One man who tasted the beer, said that the drink tasted fresh and full at the same time.

‡‡Somewhat Useless Information‡‡
Monarchs are toxic and in fact, some butterfly species such as the Viceroy play on that feature by mimicking the signature bright orange and black coloring of Monarchs to discourage birds from eating them.
***
Butterflies are sensitive to pesticides and habitat loss, both of which have been driving a decline in butterfly populations. Some of the most successful butterflies eat agricultural products that man has modified.
***
In addition to their physical beauty, butterflies act as one of nature's couriers. In the case of Monarch butterflies, which pollinate milkweed, they may transfer a pollen sac to the next plant on their legs or other body parts.

Eisenhower
While Theodore Roosevelt was the first president to fly in an airplane of any kind, it was not until 1953 that the call sign "Air Force One" was first used. Today, the name technically applies to any plane carrying the current president of the U.S., but generally is used to refer to the two specific planes that are dedicated to serving the president. Plans for two new planes have been set in motion, but President Donald Trump recently questioned the project based on high expected costs. Source: Business Insider, Boeing, The Atlantic

Disclaimer: All opinions are mine…feel free to agree or disagree.
All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
