My Rambling Thoughts
Quiet Sunday…get to watch the Broncos play and later the Cardinals. Why work? I started to post the New Orleans trip on the Focus website, but ran into a problem when I converted a PDF to a Word document. For some reason I can’t copy pictures and can’t copy some of the text from the PDF…that should now be a Word document. Frustrating. This will take some real concentration and just can’t get it going today.

I did watch my Sunday morning news programs. But for some unknown reason I didn’t get my Sunday paper. I started checking about 7am and finally called the Call Center somewhere in Montana. Automated voice said that it had been reported to my carrier. BFD…she got the message, maybe, and didn’t bring the paper, or she didn’t get the message. No humans until Monday. Frustrating. Oh, maybe there just wasn’t enough news to print a paper. Oh well.

As patrons were shopping at the mall around Christmas, Bill and Fred heard a commotion coming from the area where Santa greets the children. "What do you suppose is going on?" asked Bill.

A nearby shopper told them that the new Santa Clause, an eccentric old fellow, had attached dozens of clocks, watches, and other various timepieces onto his big wide belt, circling his whole body.

"Let's go see him," said Fred. "He sounds like a nut, but it's worth checking out."

"Naw, I'm not interested," replied Bill.

"Why don't you want to see Santa with a bunch of clocks tied around his midriff?"

"I'll tell you why. It's a waist of time!"

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
