Today’s Reflection:

It’s another nice fall day here. Should be a great day.

I did a couple loads of laundry and got a new carpet shampooer as the old one quit dispensing water. Happy camper.

Richard and Laura are looking for a used vehicle. They are looking at 2 different Chinese Hybrids. I know they will find a good fit for their needs.   I learned that Chinese Hybrids charge the battery while driving in the gas mode. They do have ports if you want to charge the vehicle at home or at a station. Cool.

Cool to know:

Fact: Dead skin cells are a main ingredient in household dust

Here’s an interesting (and gross) science fact for you: According to researchers at Imperial College London, humans shed around 200 million skin cells each hour—and they have to go somewhere when we’re indoors. If the idea of skin dust isn’t sitting well with you, you should know that a report from the American Chemical Society found that a skin oil called squalene naturally helps reduce indoor ozone levels by up to 15%—so it’s not all bad.

The season of big meals, bigger bellies and stocking up for winter is here. In Alaska, United States, brown bears at Lake Clark National Park and Preserve make the most of the food still available in October. They feed on fish, sedges, berries, roots, clams and other foods to build up fat reserves. Some can weigh more than 450 kilograms before entering their dens for hibernation. That stored fat helps them survive the winter, when they do not eat or drink.

Interesting Space Facts:

According to mathematics, white holes are possible, although as of yet we have found none.

A white hole is a hypothetical region of space-time that can’t be entered from the outside, although matter and light can escape from within. Basically, it’s the reverse of a black hole.
