Today’s Reflection:

Richard, Laura, and Micho are headed for a visit to Chicago. Hope they enjoy it.

I took my CPAP machine in as it had a green light that said service needed. They have to send it to the Cottonwood store for the Respiratory Assistant can do what is needed.

The weather guy says that much cooler temps are ahead starting tomorrow.

Cool to know:

Fact: Your eye can see a million different colors

Our bodies are made up of some bizarre features! According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, humans can distinguish approximately 10 million colors. That’s thanks to the cone cells in your retina, the back part of your eye that senses light and sends signals to your brain. These alerts allow you to perceive different colors. Some people who have a rare condition called tetrachromacy have an extra eye cone that enables them to see hundreds of millions of colors.

Picture of the Day:

View of the Sanguinaires Islands from Corsica, France

Just off the coast of Corsica, France, the Sanguinaires Islands rise from the Mediterranean as a small archipelago of four rugged, rocky islands. Viewed from a historic watchtower, they sit at the entrance to the Gulf of Ajaccio. Steep cliffs, centuries-old landmarks and sweeping sea views have drawn visitors to the area for generations. Though the farthest island lies only about 1.2 miles from shore, the archipelago feels surprisingly remote, surrounded by open water and shaped by wind, waves and salt spray.

Interesting Space Facts:

Because of its unique tilt, a season on Uranus is equivalent to 21 Earth years.

Also, the 97.77-degree tilt of Uranus’ axis means that a day there lasts only 17 hours, 14 minutes, and 24 seconds.
