My Rambling Thoughts
Ready,
almost, for the weekend. I am leading a discussion on the History of ISIS for our discussion group. Lots of reading, lots of
computer time…what an interesting subject. This is really looking like a
religious war by people who take religious writing as the only way to live…much
like the Crusades of the Christians. How to ‘fight’ the fanatics is not an easy
thing. I choose education.
All
the anti people who have believed that Obama was not born in the US can rest
easy, as this morning their self-proclaimed leader finally said “Obama was born
in the US.” He didn’t admit he was wrong and said that the 2008 Hillary
campaign was the one that started this story. Really?!?
I
have a thought in my mind, that still needs some work, but I do see that the
ISIS recruits are much like the Trump followers. Again it is all about
education…and maybe the development of the brain. More to come.

need to think about and manipulate words and letters.

each definition to its corresponding word.

It's Like a Flat Tire On Your Wedding Day --*
New Hampshire resident Angelique Arsenault was having a very bad day when her
limo got a flat tire on the way to her wedding in Milford. "It didn't even
seem real at the time, but it happened," Angelique said. Just five minutes
from her house, the limo carrying her bridesmaids and family abruptly pulled
over. "We just laughed about it," Angelique said. "We actually
had cars driving by us and they just took pictures and left and then finally
someone actually stopped to see if we needed a ride." The driver who
stopped was a man named Jay. He had a car full of kids but he was determined to
help. So he dropped them off, returned, and asked the bride, "where
to?" Angelique and her bridal party arrived only thirty minutes late. The
groom was patiently waiting.

Somewhat Useless Information
Honeybees
are not native to North America. They were introduced from Europe in the 1600s
by the Puritans.
***
Honey
never spoils. In fact, honey placed in tombs in Southampton, England, over 400
years ago, was still good when the tombs were opened.
***
Bees
use ultraviolet vision to see which flowers have the largest amounts of nectar.
***
A
typical worker bee lives for one month and in that time collects enough nectar
to make about 1/12 teaspoon of honey.
***
Honey
is made from diverse flower sources - clover, eucalyptus, or orange blossom,
for example - and soil chemistry and honeycomb quality also influence how it
tastes and looks.
***
Bees
have different dialects. A German bee cannot understand an Italian bee.

All ‘data’ info is from
the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I
have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information
is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify.
Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the
dates may not be totally accurate.
