My Rambling Thoughts
Good report from the blood doc…no need for any more phlebotomies in the near future. Bad news the sleep people screwed up my sleep test and didn’t meet Medicare requirements for the Oxygen supplement. Have to retest. Said I could do it today, but I said I would call. Waiting to see if there is a co-pay from BC. Somehow the excuse of ‘we didn’t know Medicare had changed its rules’ doesn’t fly with me. Kinda their job.

After a great river cruise we debarked at Lyon and do a tour of the city then head for Dijon—year the mustard place. Turns out Unilever bought out the company that made real Dijon mustard, what can you say…Globalization?
Both Lyon and Dijon were nice to visit. Again, great architecture, wonderful people, wine, outstanding cuisine, and really nice people. Again used my ‘translate’ app to get some information from locals. Romans were very present in Lyon back in the day. And none us will forget the Châteaux Chailly, where we stayed for two nights. Ancient, beautiful, very impressive private dinner…and as our great guide told us…we eat when the chef says we eat and we eat what the chef prepares, no need for a menu cause what you get is what you get.’ We did get a nice copy of the menu after the meal, and the chef graciously signed it for those who asked.
One of the surprises on this trip, both throughout the parts of Spain and France we visited, there was an huge amount of tagging graffiti on buildings in towns, on bridges, on walls…just about everywhere. We were told if one got caught, they had to do public service. Even so, tagging was everywhere.
A highlight for me on the river cruise was passing under the bridges. As we headed for Paris, the bridges got lower and lower. All the sundeck chairs and umbrellas had to be lowered, but we could still sit on the front deck. Enjoyed passing under them. Then near the end, I was on the front deck and we passed under a bridge that was inches from my head. Very interesting. A little later the a crew member came up to this deck and told us we all had to sit down and possibly duck as we went under the next bridge. I did do a reflexive duck on that one. A little later the crew member came back up and told us we all had to leave this deck as the bridge was very low. After that bridge, I went back up and the chairs and couches were still there, but my guess is that the top of the chairs was just inches from the bridge.
Not to forget our 2nd Captain. He was only 21 years old and when he was not doing this job he did boat races on the Mediterranean.  Cool kid and very friendly, even with his limited English.

Brain Teasers
(answers at the end of post)
Ghostly
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.
I creep in with feline grace -
Stealthy, silent, gliding -
Adding beauty, mystery, and stillness to all in my path.

My shape is ever-changing:
Pausing and moving, here and there,
A cool caress across your cheek as I slip quietly by.

But my looks are deceiving -
Peril may lurk behind my misty veil.
Slow down, be cautious, or you may abruptly meet with danger there.

What am I?

The Greatest Golf Ball

Second golfer: “How so?”

First golfer: “If you hit it into the sand, it beeps. You hit it into the water, it floats. If you want to play golf at night it glows.”

Second golfer: “Hey, sounds good. Where did you get it?”

First golfer: “I found it in the woods.”

Yep, It Really Happened
*---------- Monkey See, Monkey Fight ----------*

An Ohio shopper captured video of an escaped monkey scuffling with a Walmart employee before being reclaimed by an owner in the store's parking lot. A video posted to Facebook shows the monkey struggling with a Walmart employee by the cart return station in the Lancaster store's parking lot. A woman, apparently the monkey's owner, runs up and pulls the two apart. "Let him go, let him go, let him go! If he bites you, they will put him down," the woman says. The woman and monkey then return to a nearby camper, which the primate apparently escaped from earlier. A Walmart representative said the monkey did not bite the employee and the woman was "grateful" to the worker for catching her unusual pet. The Ohio Department of Agriculture said it is working to identify the woman to determine whether she is an Ohio resident and, if so, whether her monkey is properly registered.

Somewhat Useless Information
Legend has it that hot dogs or frankfurters originated in Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany around 1484.
***
Hot Dog season lasts from the unofficial start of summer, Memorial Day, until the unofficial end of summer, Labor Day. During this time about 20 billion hot dogs are consumed, which means more than 800 hot dogs per second are eaten in the U.S.
***
President Franklin D. Roosevelt served frankfurters to King George VI of England when he visited the United States in 1939.
***
Nearly 90 percent of hot dog eaters choose mustard as their go-to topping, but get ready to cringe if you're not from one of these regions. In Chicago, they like to use cucumber, tomato, pickle, onion and pickle relish and in Los Angeles they use mayonnaise and cheese. New Yorkers, however, prefer mustard.
***
The famous Nathan's hot dog began when Nathan Handwerker created a business on the Coney Island boardwalk in 1916. Back then, you could buy a Nathan's hot dog for a nickel!
***
The annual Coney Island eating contest on the Fourth of July supposedly started after four immigrants agreed to determine who was most patriotic by eating the most Nathan's hot dogs.

Trivia Hive  Answers
Rodham
Hillary Clinton? Hillary Rodham Clinton? Hillary Rodham? Hillary? Maybe that is why her slogan is "I'm with her" because literally, no one knows what to call her. In fact, after Bill proposed to the Mrs. (three times!) she agreed under the impression that she would keep her last name. It wasn't until Bill decided to run a second time for governor in 1982, did Hillary decide adopting his last name would help his campaign. Whatever the outcome, we are interested to see what happens in the next chapter of The Hillz. Source: The Atlantic
