My Rambling Thoughts
After more calls to the bank, Sams etc. I have reached my limit. I did learn that without telling customers, ALL banks have made their chipped Debit cards ‘pinless’ with an unknown price point and how one uses their chipped Debit card at time of purchase. Most of the time the machine doesn’t ask for a pin if you are purchasing under $50 or under $100. My bank says $50, but weren’t sure if that was correct. The other ‘pinless’ purchase is if you put your card into the machine after the clerk gives you the total of your purchase. Either way, we all have ‘pinless’ cards now, if you have the chip. As my final call to my local bank told me, I agree with your concerns but with the ‘new’ technology, things are changing on a daily basis and no banker can keep up with the latest things.
Our retirement group had a great lunch at Little America yesterday. Always a nice place with good atmosphere…especially at Christmas. I gave candles, a Flagstaff Friends of the Library calendar, and a decoration. They were appreciated. I got some glove warmers for my upcoming trip to Chicago, or when I have to be outside here when it is really cold. Mary will give me my present later as she forgot our lunch time and came directly from her massage. She felt bad, but I told her not to worry about it.
The lunch lasted longer than expected and used that as an excuse not to this blog yesterday.

Brain Teasers
(answers at the end of post)
Teaser Shopping
Series teasers are where you try to complete the sequence of a series of letters, numbers or objects.
Professor C. D. Rock ran out of teasers, so he went to Teaserville to buy some more. After arriving there he went to 6 different stores. He first went to the "Theater" to buy some teasers about movies. He then went to the "ER Hospital" to buy teasers about health, and the human body. Then he went to, in order, the "Art Center," the "Supermarket," and the "Energy Plantation." He then went to one last store. It was one of the following:

A. Library
B. High School
C. Dance Arena
D. Saloon
E. Dog Pound
F. Railroad Station
G. Petting Zoo
H. Carnival

Can you figure out which place Professor C. D. Rock visited lastly?

SAN DIEGO - San Diego police arrested pair of package thieves and found a car full of stolen items along with an incriminating to-do list. Kristina Green, 19, and Gary Withers, 38, were arrested when an Amazon delivery driver called 911 after witnessing the theft of two packages from Encinitas, Calif. homes. When police searched the car they discovered a to-do list featuring errands including "shop lift" and "Kiss mom n tell her she's loved." Police also found mail, including junk mail and bills, belonging to as many as 13 local residents. Victims Mike Garret and his wife Mary told NBC San Diego that were thankful to have their mail returned and commended the delivery driver for alerting authorities. "He did his Job," he said. "He should get extra credit. He could have said, 'Eh' and kept going, you know?" Green and Withers, who were already on probation for drug and weapons violations, were charged with mail theft and possession of stolen property.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
